RNA interference : key applications
Gene knockdown by RNA interference (RNAi) is the best and most cost-effective way to study genotype-phenotype correlations and protein functions in mammalian cells. It is fast, reliable and potent. Traditional RNAi reagents for gene knockdown consist of double stranded RNA annealed together in a RNA duplex with 3´-overhangs. RNAi reagents used include small interferring RNA (siRNA) and miRNA mimics.
riboxx has developped and validated in more than 75 publications a new technology called the RNAi-cap® for RNAi molecules.
The RNAi-cap improves knockdown potency, reduces off target effects and enhances dramatically stability of the RNA duplex. As a consequence, less siRNA is needed for potent and long lasting gene knockdown.
The RNAi-cap is included in all siRNA and miRNA mimics of Riboxx, particularly the iVORi® siRNA for in VIVO gene knockdown and the CONmiR® miRNA mimics in VIVO.
riboxx offers a broad range of RNAi reagents for in vitro and in vivo gene knockdown. Your choice is mainly determined by experimental parameters and the type of RNAi reagent needed (siRNA or miRNA).
