CONmiR mimic in vivo is a hybrid of the mature microRNA sequence and its complementary sequence, assembling in a RNA duplex for gene knockdown in vivo. Provided with the RNAi-cap technology, the CONmiR mimic display increased potency and serum stability.
The RNAi-cap technology offers several advantages:
- directional modulation of RISC unwinding of miRNA duplex, enhancing loading of the guide strand to the RISC complex. As a consequence, much less miRNA is needed for an effective gene silencing with a subsequent reduction of off-target effects [1]
- improved stability of miRNA duplex with subsequent improved half-life in body fluids.
