About Riboxx
Riboxx develops breakthrough technologies relating to RNA Engineering and Bioprocessing. These technologies are the basis of two business lines of Riboxx:
- Riboxx LIFE SCIENCES, dedicated to development of RNA reagents for life sciences, in particular RNAi.
- Riboxx PHARMACEUTICALS, dedicated to development and industrial manufacturing of RNA adjuvants for
therapeutic vaccines (against cancer) and prophylactic vaccines (against infections).
Riboxx LIFE SCIENCES
Riboxx LIFE SCIENCES develops customized and tailor-made molecular tools for gene silencing in vitro and in vivo through RNA interference: small interfering RNA (siRNA) and microRNA (miRNA). RNA interference is a new technology broadly used in life science. With the help of RNA interference, genotype-phenotype correlation studies as well as identification of gene expression patterns are possible.
The core expertise of Riboxx LIFE SCIENCES is RNA synthesis and analytics. The direct applications of this technology are in the field of RNA interference, more precisely in vivo. Here, Riboxx has developed innovative molecular tools for gene silencing in vivo such as the IVORI® siRNA, the CONTRAmir® and CONmir®. The Riboxx RNAi-technology is robust, easy-to-use and reliable.
Riboxx PHARMACEUTICALS
Riboxx PHARMACEUTICALS focuses on development of RNA targeted to Toll-like Receptors (TLRs), with a direct application as vaccine adjuvant. Adjuvants are substances that increase or modulate immune response to a vaccine, increasing its efficiency. Adjuvants are used in therapeutic vaccines (i.e. against cancer) and prophylactic vaccines (i.e. against infections).
Riboxx PHARMACEUTICALS engineers and manufactures RNA as agonist of TLR-3 in the highest possible quality and quantity. The proprietary molecule of Riboxx, Riboxxim®, is an RNA molecule that triggers innate immune response through TLR-3 activation, enabling novel vaccination approaches.
